Docho's Lounge: The Art of War (March Madness-Freestyle battles)

Rap music is a musical genre. It began in the South Bronx (NYC) way back in the 70's. Rapping is a vocal style in which the artist speaks lyrically, in rhyme & verse, generally to an instrumental. Rappers may write, then memorize and spit the lyrics accordingly or improvise their lyrics (freestyle) which is by far one of the hardest crafts to perfect. It takes years to finesse. Freestyle is a medium of expression in which the artist attempt to create verbal poetry but to do it in a battle, it takes competitive spirit, mental dexterity, lyrical content, agility, the ability to use articulate words to defeat the opponent usually in 3 rounds of 45 seconds.

This year, BET's own "106 and Park" had one of the best if not the best Freestyle battles ever.
It showcased 4 MC's with true talent and specifically one particulat gifted young MC that goes by the name of "Blind Fury". What makes this young man truly dynamic is that even though he has a disadvantage because of being "blind" he still did not let that hinder him from being successful. He never looked for pity from others, but he was smart enough to work twice as hard as next MC and come out just ruthless. That level of commitment, faith, dicipline, hunger, perseverance deserves recognition.

You gotta give it to the girl for putting up a crazy fight but watch how "Moon" rips her apart in front of millions.

"those are not real louis vitton, i can tell you were some cheap stuff"

These matches were truly a blood bath, I mean UFC style......
and then of course, Blind Fury, his ability to use the judges to his advantage....pure genius at it's finest....
